GARDENING SOCIETY: Twenty-five members turned out on a cold January night to attend the first meeting of the new year at the Memorial Hall. The evening's entertainment comprised a video entitled Exmoor, an English Wild Kingdom. It reminded members what a beautiful country we live in. The monthly competition of a house plant was won by Rosemary Coe with a delicate orchid, second Jean Dyke with a camellia in full flower.
The next meeting will be an illustrated talk on Wednesday, February 23 by Marie Paginton entitled Chile, Plants and Places.
The annual Spring Show will take place on Wednesday, March 23.
