YOUTH PROJECT: The group continues to prosper and is very well supported. Thanks to Jackie Jordan and her helpers, and the co-operation of the young people, the future of the project looks bright, and as the result of the coffee morning which raised £500 for project funds, the new programme is well under way.

WEDNESDAY CLUB: The new year started with the new chairman, Lesley Goodliffe, introducing the new committee and welcoming several new members. The talk was by Ray Sturdy who spoke on From the Serengeti to the summit of Africa and with the excellent slides - and African music - members were able to get a flavour of Kilimanjaro and the wildlife of that region. For the second meeting members heard a talk on An Unusual Job for a Lady by Mrs M Canning who related her experiences as a professional toastmaster. The next meeting will be on Wednesday at 2.30pm when there will be an auction - Flog It in aid of Campden Nurses.

MISS NASH BEQUEST FUND: This fund for the benefit of Willersey residents and administered by the village hall committee, again invites applications for a grant. Any organisation or village resident may apply and applications should be in writing to Mr Phil Bennett, 2, Ley Orchard by March 31.

COFFEE AND FAIR TRADE GOODS: Coffee is served in the Methodist Church Room every Friday from 10am to 11.30am. Fair goods are on sale then and whenever the church is open. All are welcome.

BIBLE STUDY: The Bible study meetings are held every Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church Room.

MUNCH BRUNCH: The next monthly lunch will be on Wednesday, February 16 at 12.30pm. If anyone would like a meal delivered at home contact Elizabeth Ingles on 853400 - a lift to the lunch can be arranged if needed.

WILLERSEY MUSIC: The next Willersey Music event will be on Saturday, February 12 at 7.30pm in the village hall. The Chipping Campden School Swing Band, which has established a considerable reputation in the area, will entertain. Tickets are now on sale at Willersey Stores and the Village Post Office and Stores at £10 (under 15s half-price) to include a glass of wine or soft drink. The ticket price goes towards the provision of new instruments and the development of new music as well as covering costs.

COFFEE MORNING: The next coffee morning at the village hall will be on Saturday at 10.30am and is in aid of village hall funds. All donations and gifts for stalls and raffle may be forwarded to hall committee members and if there are any items for collection please ring Mike Munt on 835305 or Jennie Bond 854430 by Friday, February 4.

LENT LUNCHES: Once again the Lent Lunches will be held, Thursday beginning on February 10 at 6, Jordans Close the home of Peter and Penny Burch, starting at 12.30pm until 2pm. There will be a plate for contributions with a suggested minimum of £2.50 and any proceeds will go to funds for relief in the Sudan.

PARISH COUNCIL: Residents are reminded that the parish council meets in the village hall on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. All are welcome and any enquiries may be sent to Philip Ord, clerk, or Maurice Andrews, chairman, or to any parish councillor.
