A COUPLE from Dines Green, Worcester, fear that they could end up on the street after their house was repossessed.
Worcester County Court has ordered Andrew and Sharon Marshall, who have two children, aged 15 and four, to leave their property in Raleigh Close by Thursday, February 17, after the couple failed to keep up with mortgage repayments.
Mr Marshall, aged 36, said they do not know where they will live between that date and Tuesday, March 15, when they have an appointment with an officer from Worcester Housing, Benefits and Advice to arrange accommodation.
"My family lives in Blackpool and they haven't got the room. Sharon's mum is registered blind and she does not have the room either," said Mr Marshall, who was made redundant from his job at a nursing home at the end of last year.
However, Amanda Mobb, the city council's housing manager, told the Evening News that the family's application was still being dealt with but because they have children they are classed as high priority.
"They won't end up on the street," she said. "If they do become homeless we will place them in temporary accommodation."
