PEOPLE living in Worcestershire form part of one of the country's cleanest regions, a survey has concluded.
The West Midlands was third out of the nine areas in England assessed for litter, graffiti, fly-tipping and flyposting in the Keep Britain Tidy report.
"For the first time in years, a national survey has shown improvements in the state of England - and to top it off the West Midlands is one of the front running regions," said Mark Vickerstaff regional director of Keep Britain Tidy.
"This fantastic achievement is not just down to local authorities - the general public must accept a great portion of the credit. Everybody should be proud of their efforts."
Top of the survey was the East of England, with London trailing in last.
