I WANT to express my thoughts on the care received by my mother-in-law, during a stay in Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Putting medicine to one side for a moment - you are left with people and it is how these people are cared for that concerns me, and should concern everyone. We will all need care at some point in our lives.
A cheery "hello" and a smile administered with a moment of your time can go heaps towards recuperation.
Me and my family are really grateful for the good manners we have been shown from those hard working folk at Avon 2 ward. I witnessed the nurses being treated like glorified waiting staff at meal times, and sometimes poorly spoken to, but they still managed to be well mannered, even if through gritted teeth.
For every story like ours, there may be the opposite for another family - but really, let us give credit where credit is due.
