ONCE again our councillors are seeking to cause division in our society by creating no-go areas for motorists in Kidderminster.
I refer, of course, to their constant efforts to gain "access only" orders on certain traffic relief roads, thus creating "private roads" for residents' use only.
This does nothing to relieve the traffic chaos that currently exists on the main roads of our town.
Can these woolly-minded people not recognise that if you cut off a relief road the traffic has to go somewhere, often to the detriment of the people who live on the main roads.
Most people now drive cars and pay road tax and council tax for the upkeep of all roads in the area.
Therefore, in the interest of fairness and goodwill towards all motorists, can we not get some common sense into local politics and not promise the "ideal" to a certain few as a vote-catching exercise.
