DESPITE Malvern's 4-1 victory inflicting another defeat on Chaddesley Corbett FC, boss Martin Westcott remained upberat and pledged to focus his attention on team rebuilding.

Chaddesley took the lead against the run of play, but were soon put in their place by the hosts and gradually ran out of confidence.

Westcott was pleased that Corbett were able to name five subs after struggling to field a side in their previous clash with Malvern.

But with the club still reeling from last summer's departures of Craig Pratt, who scored almost 60 goals for the club, and brothers Brian and Richard Burton, and Gavin Knight, he insists reinforcements are necessary.

"I have rebuilt sides many times, and the challenge to rebuild this club is an exciting one.

"We still have a number of very good players here, so it is not all doom and gloom".

Chaddesley host Sporting Khalsa at 2.15pm on Saturday with players due to meet at the ground for 12.45pm. They remain second from bottom afteronly managing two victories and a draw this season.
