Evesham Utd U-14 1,
Gloucester City 2
THE performance of both sides was dictated by the heavy pitch and passing football was at a premium in Saturday's Amros Cup semi-final first leg.
City made the better start and were the greater attacking force in the first half and goalkeeper Ben Parry was finally beaten when a striker broke clear down the left.
David Huggins had the best chance to level matters after a rare gap opened up in the Gloucester rearguard but he shot wide.
United enjoyed more possession after the break but City were always a threat on the break and they took their chance when it came to double their lead.
Ryan Cantrill got Evesham back into the tie with a looping header from a corner and the last ten minutes saw the Robins pressing for an equaliser that never came but a final place is still up for grabs.
