THERE are a few more chances to see the popular Wayward Woman play, coming to Cheltenham and then back to Evesham soon.

The show, staged by Evesham based Kayelle Productions, is about three women exploring a new spiritual path through paganism and witchcraft.

A comedy drama by top writer Simon Andrew Stirling, it is aimed at adults, 14 and over, and comes to The Everyman's Other Place studio from February 9 to 12, before heading back to the Studio at Evesham Arts Centre on February 17 and 18, where it premiered last year.

Kim Davies, of Kayelle said the inspiration came from three women from the Evesham area.

"We're keeping tight-lipped about who the three women actually are," she said. "But audiences all agree that the three characters are recognisable and extraordinary."

The play, with its issues of women and witchcraft, sex and survival, stimulated debate. "We've always been upfront about the fact that this is essentially an adult show," says Kim. "There is some language and some nudity. It's also pretty deep and very funny. Our best audiences have been the 'girl's night out' crowd, but men have found plenty of fun and food-for-thought as well."

"We've had practising pagans see the show and insist that we must have been spying on them!"

Tickets are available from the Everyman box office on 01242 572573 or Evesham Book Centre 01386 45567.
