IN his latest on Chrissies (Letters, Wednesday, January 26), John Hinton seems to give the impression that the county council is incompetent.
Why else would he claim that "an unelected pressure group", made up of unpaid volunteers with full time jobs, has managed to veto its plans?
Mr Hinton conveniently forgets that Worcester City and Malvern Hills District Councils' honest and well-argued cases are the main reason that the plan to dump Chrissies in a field next to the A44 were so comprehensively rejected by an independent inspector last year.
I understand the reasons for Mr Hinton's disappointment at the turn of recent events.
However, picking on people who simply aim to provide a factual commentary on this important issue does him no credit whatsoever.
PAUL SAUNDERS,
Worcester.
