WORCESTERSHIRE'S Big Brother star Nush Nowak is vowing to wear her wishband to support the victims of the Asian tsunami.
The 25-year-old blonde bombshell, who captured viewers' imaginations during Big Brother Four in 2003 is the latest celebrity to back the Evening News' wishband appeal.
"The message is simple, donating money WILL save lives," she said.
"It doesn't matter how much or little you can spare, it still can make that difference.
"I find it hard to watch any coverage without becoming extremely upset with what people are having to cope with. Inevitably, you envisage what it would be like for you in that situation and the thought is unimaginable because it is too painful.
"Just wearing that thought for a minute should be persuasive enough to convince people to buy a band."
The Evening News has marble effect wristbands delivered from the Far East, each one embossed with the words Tsunami - Funding the Future.
For as little as £1.50 you can buy a band and wear it with pride, knowing that every penny raised will go to helping the millions of people whose lives were torn apart in the Boxing Day tragedy.
As soon as extra wristbands arrive they will be on sale in boxes at schools and newsagents throughout Worcestershire, and at Crowngate and Cathedral Plaza shopping centres.
But readers can ensure they are first to get their band by placing their order today. Order forms will be published in the paper every day this week.
