BRIDES-TO-BE picked up some great ideas for their "big day" when they turned out in force for Wyre Forest's leading bridal exhibition at The Stone Manor Hotel, Kidderminster, on Sunday.

Nearly 200 future brides, deep in wedding preparations, were among hundreds of people attending the show, Always and Forever, laid on by the Shuttle/Times & News.

It has become a must-visit event for those getting ready to say "I do" and provided a wealth of information about the latest bridal fashions.

Everything they needed to know about flowers, cars, stationery, photography, cakes, formal wear and dresses was available under one roof as businesses came together to display their services.

Show organiser, Michelle Walton, deputy advertisement manager at the Shuttle/Times & News, said: "It was our best show yet.

"Nearly 200 brides-to-be were keen to talk about ideas for their wedding day and that meant exhibitors did plenty of business throughout the day.

"The two fashion shows were again the highlight of the day and there was standing room only when the models took to the catwalk."

One lucky woman won the dress of her dreams in a special competition held on the day.

Jane Plowman, of Pitt Street, Kidderminster, will be able to choose a wedding gown worth up to £1,000 donated by Kidderminster's newest bridal store, 2 Have and 2 Hold.
