A WHEELCHAIR belonging to a man with multiple sclerosis was stolen from a garage in Victoria Road, Malvern.
The theft took place between 2pm and 2.50pm on Thursday (January 27).
The homeowner, who asked not to be named, had borrowed the wheelchair from his son-in-law for his father, who was going into hospital for an operation.
He said he popped out for a short while, leaving the garage door open. When he returned, it had gone.
"It's probably not worth a lot of money, so what on earth are they going to do with it?" he said. "It must have been kids walking past who saw it, took it and have probably dumped it somewhere."
He said that while his son-in-law did not rely on the wheelchair, it was important he had one.
The Echo wheelchair was dark green with removable multi-coloured wheel protectors and small stabiliser wheels at the back. Anyone with any information should call police on 08457 444888.
