ONE of Alan Ayckbourn's most famous plays, Joking Apart, is being staged by the Swan Theatre Amateur Company.
Anthea and Richard are naturally charming and successful, but almost without knowing it, they dominate the lives of their friends and colleagues.
Over 12 years, they entertain them in their garden, with its gazebos and tennis court, and at the annual firework party.
Joking Apart is produced by Brian J Burton, who has also produced the company performances of An Inspector Calls, Dancing at Lughnasa and Teechers.
The show runs from Thurs-day, February 10, to Saturday, February 19, but with no performance on Sunday, February 13. Tickets are £9.50 (concs £8), first night and Monday £8, from 01905 611427.
