WORCESTER Wolves' play-off destiny could become a lot clearer tonight with a crucial home match against Worthing Thunder (7pm).
The two sides are neck-and-neck on 16 points in England Basketball League Division One, with Worthing one defeat better off.
Only four points divide third and seventh place, so victory could propel sixth-placed Wolves into the top four position they crave in order to earn home advantage in the end-of-season play-offs.
Director of basketball, Mick Donovan, accepts all games are important with only six left after Worthing.
He said: "Every game now we have to more or less win. There's a massive incentive for fourth spot.
"Realistically the target has got to be fourth as I don't see Reading (third) losing four games between now and the end of the season. This league is not dominated by one or two teams so it's all to play for."
"What's intriguing is that Manchester play Sheffield (tonight), so if Manchester were to lose and we were to win and beat them (Manchester) the following week, we could go to fourth."
Wolves, still reeling from having to concede their National Trophy semi-final against City of Sheffield Arrows, also sense revenge.
An off-day in November saw them lose 112-83 and Donovan said: "We came out very slowly and never recovered. But if we can play well, we can beat them."
