WORCSTER Dominies and Guild held their nerve to win a thrilling Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League game by three runs against Droitwich 'C'.
A match-winning 21 by Steve Miles, who was eventually run out, helped the city side total 93-6 at the Royal Grammar School Worcester.
Glyn Wilks (eight), Liam Hopkins (eight) and Chris Stokes (12) also contributed to the score as Anthony Small (1-25), Mike Rogers (1-13) and Rees John (1-17) enjoyed bowling success.
Droitwich were left ruing missed chances in the field when they batted and could only total 90-4 in reply with Craig Hunt (18) top scoring.
Phil Darlinson (17) and John (nine) were among the runs too but Hopkins (1-13) and Matt Williams (1-21) took wickets.
n Andy Sutton blasted 38 runs and James Wagstaff 29 as Colwall totalled 114-6 and beat Worcester Nomads 'B' by 15 runs.
Despite opener Mark Shouler's run out for 12, Colwall built a solid innings with the help of Mike King (nine) who was one of three victims for wicketkeeper Rich Lisle.
Andy Leach (2-15) and James Smith (2-32) were the pick of Nomads' attack but they then fell 15 runs short of pulling off the win on 99-4, despite Steve Medley's 27 not out. Smith contributed 12 runs, while King took 1-23 and Shouler 1-15 for Colwall.
n Gerry Cartwright's tight final over ensured Droitwich 'A' beat Belbroughton by two runs after restricting the villagers to 108-2.
Droitwich had totalled 110-4 with Jerome Connor (29 not out), Paul Bryan (16), Cartwright (16) and Nigel Haddock (15 not out) all pitching in.
Andy Pountney (1-18) and Colin Baggs (1-22) claimed wickets for Belbroughton whose reply quickly hit the buffers with a wicket for Adrian Field.
Jamie Perks (27 not out), Geoff Day (25 retired) and Dave Hayward (25 retired) ensured they were not far away.
n Cutnall Green collapsed to 54 and lost by 65 runs against Chaddesley Corbett who had set a challenging 119-4.
Neil Fletcher ran himself out in the first over and only Dan Higgins (14) made much impression on the scorers with Ian Chambers (1-3) and Paul Lyman (1-6) the successful bowlers.
Earlier, Chaddesley's Lyman (29 not out), Neil Griffiths (27 not out) and Chambers (14) all batted well.
