A COMMUNITY centre undergoing a £500,000 revamp will open on time and with a new name.
The Tolladine Community Centre on Rose Avenue will be no longer be known by its former name.
Instead, from April 2005, the popular meeting point for a range of clubs from toddler's groups through to pensioners' lunch clubs will be known as the Tolly Centre.
To go along with the new roof and two extra wings - a Sure Start and a youth wing, bosses decided to freshen up the name.
"After a large consultation with residents in Tolladine - who call the estate Tolly anyway - we thought it would give the centre a more positive image," said Sure Start Manager, Ian Craigan.
The revamped Tolly Centre is set to open on time in early April.
