THE notorious Causeway Ground at Cinderford again proved unplayable today when the match referee called off the Division One West match around 1.30pm.
The pitch was deemed fit at 11am when a local official was called in but heavy rain from around 12.30pm gave Derek Eaton little option but to postpone the match.
The cancellation left Evesham's players kicking their heels although the break will give manager Dave Busst the chance to strengthen his squad ahead of next weekend's trip to Oxford City.
However, the suspended Leon Blake and Lee Knight will now have to sit out that particular match and they will be joined on the sidelines by Neil O'Sullivan who has received a one-match ban for accumulating five cautions.
