PEOPLE in Worcester who bought their council homes in the 1980s are being asked to get in touch with a Channel Four documentary team to tell their stories.
The Mentorn TV production is set to mark the 25th anniversary of the ground-breaking right-to-buy housing policy brought in during Margaret Thatcher's Government in 1980, which gave council tenants the opportunity to buy their homes for the first time.
Producer Michelle Crowley said they were keen to hear from people in and around the Worcester area who had reaped the benefits from the initiative.
"It was a life-changing event for some people. They used the purchase of their home as a spring-board to climb the property ladder, start a business or fulfil their dreams in another way," she said.
"We'd like those people to get in touch".
If you have an interesting right-to-buy story to tell and would like to be involved in the documentary please contact Fiona Grant on 020 72586703 or e-mail fgrant@mentorn.tv
