THE Government has just released some interesting figures.
Every year the House of Commons costs £269m and the House of Lords £61m for the British taxpayer while the European Parliament costs the European taxpayer (which includes us) £900m.
This means each year a Lord costs £91,000, an MP £409,000 and an MEP £1,138,000 and the EU parliament actually sits for fewer days per year than either of the two Houses of Parliament.
It is time we left the EU,its costing us a fortune.
