I READ Seven days with Phillpott with interest, Evening News, January 29.
In his ''Say sorry for 1066'' piece, Mr Phillpott made a thought-provoking proposition by suggesting. "Let's leave the past to the history books and draw a line under outrages real...and imagined."
Well I share his sentiment, but I suppose under such proposition the perpetrators of past injustice stand to benefit far more than their victims, who may still be waiting for restorative justice. I also wonder if leaving the past to the history books will be applied selectively or comprehensively across all the nations.
Be that as it may, my guess is that I do not think America is going to draw a line under the twin tower attack and the Jewish community is not likely to forget the holocaust.
