IT might not have a reputation as a pink capital but for five days this summer Worcester will become the hub of the country's bisexual scene.
University College Worcester is playing host to the National Bisexual Convention, a gathering of about 300 bisexuals, in August.
The annual event sees serious discussions - about topics like safer sex and family issues - alongside social events including live music and games.
Organisers have praised the help of staff at UCW and the city's road links for being reasons why the convention is being held in Worcester.
"We decide what area we'd like to organise things and we have particular needs in terms of disabled facilities and bar areas," said Marc Turner, of the BiCon 2005 organising committee.
"We were looking at the Midlands and South West and because of the transport links and fact that they were so helpful at UCW compared to other venues, we chose Worcester.
"Worcester will be fun. It is a wonderful city and is fantastically easy to reach from Wales and the West Country."
The convention, in its 23rd year, is usually held in larger cities, with Manchester chosen last year and Glasgow expected to be playing host in 2006.
But Mr Turner said he expected residents of the Faithful City would be happy to extend a warm welcome to the bisexuals.
"We've never ever had any opposition.
"We get the occasional curious person asking questions and we are prepared to answer those," he added.
