THE newest branch of the Women's Institute in Worcester is to hold its first meeting at the Pump House Environment Centre, Waterworks Road, Barbourne, on Wednesday, February 9.
The branch - which hasn't yet been named - will become the 10th WI branch in the city.
"The WI takes a great interest in environmental issues and is pleased to be able to open their new WI in such a splendid centre," said WI adviser, Doreen Jeeves.
"The Federation's Science Club plans to include a detailed tour of the centre in their next programme."
The new WI will hold its introductory meeting from 10am when there will be a free floral demonstration followed by tea and coffee.
"Come and join the fun - you'll be amazed what you can do with the WI," added Mrs Jeeves.
