A SURVEY into the "student experience" found that an increasing number are feeling stressed because of financial worries.

Previous research found that students were more likely to suffer from poor mental health than other young people, with as many as one in four suffering from anxiety or depression.

However, sympathy can only be extended so far with academic terms as short as four weeks on some university courses, allowing students plenty of time for rest and relaxation.

Perhaps annoyance at paying thousands of pounds a year for few lectures and even fewer tutorials would be a more appropriate emotion in many cases.
