THE merger of law firms Morton Fisher and Gwynnes has been confirmed and the practice is now trading as MFG Solicitors at offices across Worcestershire, Shropshire and the Black Country.
The new firm has 10 offices across the region with a combined 24 partners and around 200 staff in total.
Maynard Burton, managing partner of MFG Solicitors, said: "Our merged firm will be better placed to capture and exploit this growth as the combined team has the experience to build on the existing platforms to create a strong and resilient legal firm.
"The proven skills of both firms are wholly complementary and the new financial strength delivered through the proposed merger will enable us to drive forward as the leading supplier with a full range of legal services in the central region."
MFG now has offices in Worcester, Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Cleobury Mortimer, Wellington, Telford, Halesowen and Newport.
