A CELEBRATED religious art exhibition has arrived at Worcester Cathedral for a two-month stay.
The Journey, by Peter Clare, will be on display in the Lady Chapel at the Cathedral throughout Lent and into Easter week.
An internationally recognised religious artist, Mr Clare created the cycle of paintings during what he described as a spiritually turbulent time in his life lasting 14 years.
The paintings, which depict the spiritual journey of the artist, are linked to that of Christ's.
They were featured on BBC1's Heaven and Earth show and have been praised for their honesty, depth and range of emotions.
Exhibitions of the paintings have so far raised £5,000 for Christian Aid and the Catholic charity, CAFOD.
"All art, to be complete, needs observers," said the Dean of Worcester, the Very Rev Peter Marshall.
"People will take into themselves the work that is viewed, and respond, and this is part of being creative.
"The response might involve a major change in seeing the outside world, or in self perspective.
"I would encourage the residents of Worcester to view The Journey, particularly during Lent."
