Catering students and businessmen joined Worcester Mayor Allah Ditta for a flipping good time in the St Richard's Hospice pancake tossing competition.
They had taken up the challenge of seeing how many pancakes they could toss in one minute - a challenge won by Kyle Roberts of the city's technology college for an amazing 113 flips.
Crowds watched the Pancake Day spectacle outside Sainsburys in Cathedral Plaza, Worcester.
Those taking place represented Cathedral Plaza, HSBC, the city council, Marks & Spencer, Knight Frank estate agents, Wyvern FM, Sainsbury's, and the Worcester College of Technology.
Hospice staff were on hand to accept donations from generous members of the public who gathered to watch the contest.
It has been revealed that £4m has been raised for St Richard's Hospice in the last year, but campaigners are urging people to continue raising the remaining funds needed to build a new, state-of-the-art hospice in Wildwood Way, Worcester.
