"THE friendliest folk club in the Midlands" will play host to an award-winning Canadian singer and songwriter tomorrow (Thursday).
James Keelaghan is in England for a one-month tour and will be dropping into Bromsgrove Folk Club, at Finstall Road Rugby Club, from 8.15pm.
James is at the forefront of Canadian folk music and his most celebrated songs tell the stories of extraordinary events from history through the eyes of ordinary people.
Spokesman for the club, Bob Bignell, said: "His good strong songs rock along and their rousing choruses will delight Bromsgrove audiences."
He added: "'Fingers of steel and a voice as big as a truck' is one way James' live performances have been described, and I have no reason to disagree with that description."
Resident group Fairfield will give their support and non-members, who are always welcome, will be charged £6. For more information visit www.bromsgrovefolkclub.co.uk
