THE man who died after falling from a multi-storey car park at the weekend has been named as 48-year-old Brian Stinson.

Mr Stinson fell more than 40ft from the fifth floor of the St Martin's Gate car park, in Worcester, at around 10.15am on Saturday.

He died two hours later in Worcestershire Royal Hospital's accident and emergency department.

A post mortem was carried out on Monday and an inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday. The date for the conclusion of the inquest is still to be fixed.

The cause of death was recorded as shock and haemorrhage due to multiple injuries.

Eye-witness Sheila English, of Durham Road, Ronkswood, Worcester, said she saw Mr Stinson falling to the ground as she returned to the car park after shopping with her son Mark, aged 12.

Mr Stinson, of Watkins Way, Malvern, worked as a sales manager for BT.

It is the second time in a month that someone has plunged to their death from a multi-storey car park in the city.

Ian Campbell, a 37-year-old assistant headteacher, of Townley, in Warndon Villages, fell to his death from the top of the CrownGate Shopping Centre car park on Monday, January 10.
