A MAN forced a Redditch Halifax Bank cashier to hand over money before making his escape through the Kingfisher Centre.
The raider, who entered the Evesham Walk bank at 3.05pm on Wednesday, told staff he had a gun and ordered the cashier to hand over money.
When he demanded money from another cashier, the staff member activated the security screens and the man quickly walked away.
He was described as a light-skinned black man and had a round face with some stubble.
He was about 5 ft 6ins tall, of medium build and in his mid 30s. He was wearing a denim jacket and jeans and had closely cropped, greying, wiry hair.
Police tracked the man on CCTV walking to and from the bank through the Kingfisher Centre. He left at the exit at the back of the bus station, near Station Way.
Police believe he may have walked along Oakly Road, turned up Ipsley Street or Mount Pleasant, or got into a vehicle.
Witnesses or anyone who saw a man fitting the description are asked to call Redditch CID on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
