Redditch Swimming Club achieved more than 20 personal best times as they hosted the Redditch Trophy Gala at Droitwich on Saturday, January 29.
The club entered two teams of Red and Blue against two from Worcester and a team from Evesham to give coaches the opportunity to introduce new swimmers to the event.
The Redditch swimmers recorded 16 new times and some valuable experience at the gala.
Among those who shone on the night were:
Danielle Harwood who took top spot in the 12 and under backstroke and butterfly while Elizabeth Humphries was first in the 11 and under backstroke and butterfly.
Amy Foster took first place in the nine year olds breaststroke and there were second places for Taylor Hartley and James Green.
Lucy Knibbs took first prize in the 12 and under breaststroke, Naomi Legge kicked her way to top spot in the 10 and under backstroke, Michaela Britt was first in the 11 and under breaststroke and Sophie Randall won the 11 and under freestyle.
Second places were netted by Lucy Knibbs, Phillip Gifford, Michaela Britt, Lydia May and Sophie Bridgman.
Also finishing second were the girls nine-year-olds freestyle and mixed stroke squads.
The overall scores were Worcester (Green) 191, Evesham 173, Worcester (Blue) 124, Redditch (Red) 119 and Redditch (Blue) 99.
