SAMBOURNE councillor Les Topham is the new Leader of Stratford District Council.
His appointment follows the resignation of Chris Saint.
Mr Topham has served on the district council since 1996.
He lives near Studley with his wife Gillian and when not working in his gardening centre or attending council business he enjoys playing the piano and organ and collecting Jaguar cars. His term as leader will last until May.
