BROMSGROVE Rovers climbed into the Southern League Division One West top five after an impressive display last night.
The decisive goal came in the 13th minute when Thame failed to clear a Mark Benbow corner and Ross Collins rifled a strike into the bottom corner.
Thame captain Tony Joyce cleared off his goalline after just three minutes as Rovers attacked from the outset.
Paul Szewczyk and Nathan Jameson were both off target with further efforts, while penalty appeals were denied on 30 minutes when Collins and Thame's John Mitchell clashed.
Szewczyk then grazed the upright before the interval after swapping passes with Delton Francis as Thame failed to register a single shot in the first-half.
Bromsgrove 'keeper Matt Lowe made a good stop from Danny Keen's effort early in the second-half but Rovers continued to display football with no cutting edge.
Thame's Steve Smith denied Szewczyk, then a chance was missed when the Rovers striker and Danny Lennon found themselves unable to convert a good Jon Daniels cross.
And, with three minutes left, Joyce cleared crucially again from Szewczyk following Steve Hillman's surging run and cross.
