Droitwich Memorial Eulogy
Once upon a tyme we had an open air Lido; once upon a tyme we had a Winter Gardens; once upon a tyme we had a High Street with shoppers; once upon a tyme we had a Hotel and Brine Baths.
Once upon a tyme we had shops all along Ombersley Street; once upon a tyme we had a thriving Market; once upon a tyme we had happy chatty shoppers -- enter Wychavon, and then once upon a tyme went.
Bank Holidays are great in Droitwich, parking space galore.
The Christmas dcor is a treat for anyone to see, but who?
The High Street is full with take away shops, a council shop, a dentist, hair salons, double glazing and conservatories. What a treasure trove.
We should have just 15 minutes free parking to save tourists from being bored.
It is daylight robbery to charge.
people to come for Wilkinsons, and maybe a new Argos, but what will they do next?
I know, play games. You can catch a bird if you pour salt on its tail.
That should do it, the ultimate fantasy, or spot a councillor not out for a photoshoot.
The new housing developments have brought in voters who do not know that Droitwich was a jewel in Worcestershire's crown. How sad. Farewell Salt White, the Prince has gone.
Droitwich RIP is now buried with new houses, most shopping is done elsewhere. The flowers are a fitting tribute to a once treasured and loved town.
