A TOP business speaker and former Bromsgrove schoolboy will be speaking in Clent this Friday.
Sir Digby Jones, the director general of the Confederation of British Industry, will be the guest speaker at the first in a series of special events aimed at the business community. The event will be held at Sunfield School.
Sir Digby will be kicking off the first of a series of evening 'working lunches'.
They will be hosted by Sunfield patron Adrian Chiles, the TV and radio personality who has presented the BBC2 programme Working Lunch for the past seven years.
Adrian is heading up the latest appeal to raise funds for new, specially-designed classroom facilities for children with learning needs, including those with profound autism.
Proceeds from the event will be going towards this project.
Professor Barry Carpenter OBE, chief executive and principal of Sunfield, said: "We are all extremely excited about this series of events and welcoming the local business community to Sunfield."
The first evening will be at the Woodman Lane school on Friday at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
The evening will include supper with wine. Tickets are priced at £35 per head and must be booked in advance.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets should call the appeals team on 01562 882253.
