STAFF at Redditch's Richmond Motors helped raise a whopping £3,000 for a good cause recently.
Staff at the Park Farm South garage raised cash through raffles, donations, a golf day and sponsored events throughout last year for the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital, Birmingham.
Recently, entertainer Joe Pasquale handed over a cheque to the hospital on behalf of the company.
The money was raised specifically to buy a specialist refrigeration unit for the haematology lab.
The fridge is special as it is able to store items to a level of minus 80 degrees.
It is used for freezing DNA samples for treatment of haemophiliacs and related illnesses, including those involving snake venom.
Richmond managing director Ray Bradnock was delighted Joe Pasquale was able to support the important work done by the Children's Hospital and he feels sure the new facility will be a valuable addition to the unit
