CROOME Pony Club's Fiona Watt finished second in the junior section at the Vale of White Horse Triathlon.
The Pershore High School pupil was only a single point adrift of the eventual winner in what proved a successful start to the new year on Moorfield Zodiac.
Fiona's efforts followed last season's success when the teenager didn't finish outside the top three in her age group in all Pony Club Triathlons and Tetrathlons that he competed in.
Triathlons include air pistol shooting, swimming and cross country running with riding over a cross-country course added to the tetrathlon disciplines.
Fiona recorded the best swim points total at the Wiltshire event and appears all set for another triumphant year in this all-round sporting test.
And, if things go to plan, then she could well repeat the success of mum Sue who represented England in Pony Club Tetrathlon 23 years ago.
