ALCESTER councillor and parliamentary candidate Susan Juned has launched a survey to assess local crime concerns.
She and fellow Liberal Democrats will be delivering 10,000 forms to homes across south Warwickshire over the next few weeks.
The results will be presented to Warwickshire Police Authority and local councils.
Mrs Juned will also discuss the findings with Lib Dem Shadow Home Secretary Mark Oaten in the hope of getting a better deal for south Warwickshire.
"Politicians talk a lot about crime but how often do they listen to the real concerns of local people?
"We are told that crime statistics for this area are low compared to some other areas of the country - but fear of crime is high.
"We want to find out just why this is," she said.
