CROSS-dressing by staff at a Kidderminster building society has coined in £120 for a children's home.
Manager, Matt Freemantle, said they came up with the idea of cross-dressing when some female members of staff realised they did not have evening dresses while their male counterparts were without bow ties.
"It started off that we would just put £1 each in for dressing up but then we left a tin out and everyone was quite impressed and contributed," said Mr Freeman-tle of the fund-raiser for Sunfield Children's Home in Clent.
"The idea was that we were going to dress up in black tie and ballgowns but, because some of the lads, including myself, didn't have a black tie and the ladies' dresses, we decided it would be fun to cross-dress and we just bought our dresses from local charity shops."
Staff at the Vicar Street branch are used to charity work, having previously generated £2,350 for the tsunami appeal with the help of Franche First School and Lea Castle Hospital School.
