STOURPORT may have been held to a 1-1 draw by visitors Corby Town on Saturday but there were still celebrations at Walshes Meadow - not for the result but for defender Craig Webb whose second half equaliser broke his Swifts duck.
Webb capped a man of the match display with a 56th minute strike to earn his side something from a game that they almost won with a final flourish.
Dan Mason floated in a free-kick from wide on the right and when it was not dealt with by the Corby defence Webb shot home at the far post.
And as Stourport pushed for a winner it needed a good save from the Corby keeper to deny Bragoli 15 minutes from the end, the midfielder drilling a free-kick towards goal following a foul on striker Duncan Willetts.
Substitute Mark Atkinson came on for the final seven minutes and nearly made his mark with a header that crept just the wrong side of the upright.
Swifts made the worst possible start when they found themselves behind after just five minutes. A goalmouth scramble resulted in Webb trying to clear the danger only to see the ball hit Corby's Chris Caswell and fly into the net.
Stourport's best chance of the half fell to Willetts who linked up with strike partner Richard Burgess only to be denied by a splendid last ditch tackle. Bragoli also tried his luck from distance only to see his shot thump against the Corby woodwork.
