HORSE racing enthusiasts will be able to hear Worcestershire's most famous racehorse owner talk about his profession at a pre-Cheltenham Festival lunch
Jim Lewis, from Callow End, will give a talk on Wednesday, March 9, about how he became a champion racehorse owner with three-times Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Best Mate.
The legendary horse is set to run again in a bid to claim the title for the fourth time on Friday, March 18.
The lunch event will be held at Evesham Golf Club and tickets, including lunch, are £20 each.
Jim is a patron of the St Richard's New Hospice Appeal and profits from the event will go towards the work of the charity caring for people with life-threatening illness.
With the Cheltenham Gold Cup race just around the corner there is also time to stock up on Best Mate merchandise which is proving a hot favourite with shoppers at the St Richard's Hospice shop in Worcester.
Mr Lewis has registered Best Mate as a trademark to benefit St Richard's and items such as polo shirts, caps, mugs and other gift ideas are now available.
Buyers can also log onto www.bestmate.info for more details.
