SHATTERFORD'S Opening week went with a bang
Masters: Des Taylor from Bewdley took 3 trout to 6lb including a 7lb Brownie on an orange lure. Ron Cornfield from Bewdley took 4 to 6lb 8oz on a buzzer. Steve Roberts from Birmingham took a 7lb rainbow on a catswhisker.
Stella: Malcolme Cave from Rubery took 15 trout to 2lb on a booby. David Vaughn from Shatterford took 23 trout to 3lb on a white fritz.
Wyre Dell: Jim Hartlebury from Dudley took 12 trout to 2lb 8oz on a red tadpole. Jason Golding Birmingham took 5 trout to 2lb on a black leaded fly.
Coarse Fishing - Erics: Gary Watson from Sedgley took an 18lb and a 15lb mirror on boilie. The brothers James and Russell Keen took 4 mirror carp to 18lb and a 20lb common on fish boiles. Tom Halesbury from Halesowen took a 22lb mirror on the M1 boilie.
Gainsborough: Chris Roadnight from Birmingham took 2 carp to 15lb on boilie. Geoff Yolle from Kford took to carp to 18lb using maggots.
Stuarts: Producing good bags of bream and roach.
The rest has done the lakes good ready for the new season.
The masters will be drained in June and stocking of the new 150 carp will happen in November if anyone wants to help with this netting call 01299 861597. We are looking for 8 volunteers who are very fit to net the masters in June and then the stock pool for the carp in November.
