LAST week you published my letter highlighting the problems I and my family have endured since November with attacks upon our cars and house, and a lack of police response.

I write to tell you that we did eventually receive a phone call from Stourport police and a visit from Bewdley police the day before the newspaper was published. We received profuse apologies.

I was told they intend to do all they can to help Bewdley people and prioritise calls more efficiently.

But the experience has left us with the impression that the local police are under-staffed. And unless they are given the resources, things will not be seen to improve and the stress upon the individual bobby will increase. Eventually they will be unable to cope, resulting in more time being spent off work.
