MAY I be allowed to reply to the criticism of our MP, Dr Richard Taylor.
Three years ago myself and my four neighbours were having difficulties with our telephone lines. Four of the bungalows are occupied by people in their 80s, and we have been supplied with alarms which were of no use when our phones were out of order which was frequently.
In a nine-month period a hole was dug on the pavement at the bottom of my drive on five occasions. It was eventually confirmed that the main cable was perished and needed a replacement, something BT were not willing to do.
One letter to Dr Taylor and within two weeks a new main supply cable was in place.
Our MP is an independent, which means he does not have to follow the party whip. He puts his constituents first and long may he represent us.
