STOURPORT High School's girls under-16s football team have set their sights on national cup glory - with one of their star players keen to further her own international ambitions.
Fresh from helping her team-mates progress to the last 16 of the national competition, Kirsty Hughes has been is also celebrating being called up for an England training camp.
Kirsty was on target, along with captain Becky Donnelly, Frankie Hocking (2), Danielle Morris and Becky Saunders in their 7-4 win over Kings High School from Winchester.
And while the team is waiting to learn who they will face next, Kidderminster Harriers academy youngster Kirsty is looking to the FA open day at Loughborough University.
The 16-year-old earned the call-up to train at the Sir John Beckwith National Women's player development centre after impressing scouts at a recent match.
She is now hoping to progress to playing for England and hopes to turn professional, possibly in the thriving women's football scene in America, in the future.
