A BRASS band that starred in the stage version of Brassed Off at Birmingham's Repertory Theatre is to perform a concert for an Evesham charity.
The Stourport Brass Band will be playing at Evesham Methodist Church on Thursday, March 3 at 7.45pm in support of The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust.
Admission is free, but a retiring collection is taking place at the end of the performance to raise funds for the Trust.
More than 11 years ago the Sollis family in Evesham received the devastating news that the vague flu-like illness their teenage daughter Tracy has been experiencing was in fact leukaemia.
Fifteen traumatic months, numerous hospital visits and a one-in 50,000 bone marrow transplant later, Tracy was dead just weeks before her 16th birthday.
Her mum Sue set up the charity The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust in her daughter's name.
Tickets for the concert can be obtained from The Tracy Sollis Shop, Library Arcade, High Street, Evesham or by ringing 01386 765728.
