A SCOTTISH cellist and a Swedish pianist join forces for the latest concert in Chipping Campden and District Music Society's 44th season of events.
Marie Mcleod started on the cello at eight and progressed to the Yehudi Menuhin School, afterwards studying in Cologne and at the Guildhall School of Music.
She won the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 2002 among other major awards and since then has performed all over the country.
She is accompanied by Martin Sturfalt, who has been playing piano since he was four before heading for the Stockholm Royal College of Music and also the Guildhall School of Music in London.
On Tuesday the pair will be presenting Beethoven's Sonata for cello and piano in C major, op 102 no 1 Janacek Pohadka, Poulenc's sonata for cello and piano and Chopin's sonata for cello and piano in G minor op 65.
The concert is at Chipping Campden School Hall in Cider Mill Lane at 8pm. Tickets (£10 or 50p for under 18s and students) are available on the door or contact the treasurer on 01386 841520 for details of joining the club.
