WITH reference to the recent invasion of St Peter's by so-called travellers masquerading as Romanies (Evening News, Thursday, February 3) I see that a Mohammed Aslam of the Worcestershire Racial Equality Council has stuck his oar in.

I am fed up with these people accusing us of racism. It is not about race, it is about anti-social behaviour by a group of people who do not want to play by the rules.

They had not been on site more than two hours before the place started to look like a tip.

Thankfully they moved off after a day-and-a-half and left our council to clear up the mess, no doubt calling out workmen for extra duty at time-and-a-half or whatever. I must say they acted promptly. The drain cleaners were there too - did these travellers pour their sewage down there? That's another bill for us ratepayers!

It seems to me that it is one law for us and one for them... and play the race card for all it is worth.

W FRANCIS,

Worcester.
