MOST women will agree that men in uniform have always been a bit of a turn-on and, according to a survey carried out by County Air Ambulance, paramedics are now top of the list.
The survey revealed that, from a choice of six types of men in uniform, paramedics came out on top with 54 per cent of women placing them at number one - 35 per cent above the nearest rival.
When asked why paramedics were the best, some women said it was the fact that they came across as caring, strong and were seen as totally in control of the situation.
But most just said it was the all-in-one jumpsuit.
The results also demonstrated that, when people have to put their lives in the hand of paramedics, they feel safe and secure by those looking after them.
Simon Edwards, a paramedic based at County Air Ambulance's Strensham base, was pleased with the results.
"It's flattering to know that we're found attractive by the general public," he said.
"I'm really chuffed with the results of the survey and I may even take the uniform home with me for Valentine's Day."
