NEXT Sunday is the first Sunday in Lent and the 11am service at St Peter's Church will be a family service with an infant baptism.
The regular book fair is held this Sunday at Powick Parish Hall from 10.30am till 4.30pm. Refreshments and book bargains available.
Book your teas for the quiz evening being held at Powick Parish Hall on Friday, February 28 at 7.30pm. Teams of four are welcome at £4 per person, with a light supper included. All proceeds to the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (Malvern Group), telephone (01886) 884372.
If you are a village resident or a regular user of Powick Parish Hall you are invited to the annual general meeting of the hall committee being held on Thursday, February 24 in the committee room at 7.30pm. New portable staging has been purchased, a section of which has been erected in the hall. The stage is available for outside hire, please contact Roger Gurney on (01905) 830756. Additional tables are being purchased from a grant provided by Powick Parish Council. The old wooden trestle tables are stored in the cellar for use at outdoor fetes and functions.
